Town Council’s Quarry Splash Park Winter Closure

With the fantastic weather this summer, the Splash Park in Shrewsbury Town Council’s Quarry has been a massive hit with children of all ages.

The “Darwin’s Islands of Adventure” splash and play areas have been extremely popular with families from across the region throughout the summer months.

As we head towards autumn, Shrewsbury Town Council will be closing the Splash Park for the winter months from Thursday 27 September. The play area will remain open.

Helen Ball, town clerk for Shrewsbury Town Council, said: “We have had such a great summer and we are delighted that our Splash Park has been so well used. All good things must come to an end, and we need to close the facilities for the winter months and give it its winter overhaul.

“We look forward to re-opening the Splash Park next spring and hope that many more people will be able to have fun at our award-winning splash pad.

“We will publish the new season’s opening date on our social media platforms nearer the time, so I would encourage people to look out for the details next spring.”
