The Town Council is responsible for over 400 lights in Shrewsbury, identified by an 'F' prefix. The Asset Maintenance Officer, Mark Harris, arranges for repairs to be carried out by a contractor.
21 solar lights have been installed along Victoria Avenue from Kingsland Bridge to Greyfriars Bridge providing a promenading atmosphere along the stretch with lighting that is respectful of the local area. There was also a need to provide a heritage look as well as providing the necessary wattage to ensure the lights would work both in the summer and the winter.
