With its commanding clock tower, Shrewsbury Market Hall stands proud between Shoplatch and Claremont Street. Since 1965 it has been home to many traders offering fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, fresh fish, delicatessen, books, china, antiques, collectables and contemporary arts and crafts to name a few.
Shrewsbury’s indoor Market Hall is jointly run by Shrewsbury Town Council – which is in charge of the canopied section – and Shropshire Council who run the periphery stalls and units. The Town Council works closely with the Site Facilities Manager to ensure the market continues to be a vibrant and bustling shopping destination.
The Town Council Market Officers can be contacted on 01743 353063.
