Members of the public are invited to join the Mayor & Mayoress of Shrewsbury for the annual Flower Show lunch.
The post-show luncheon will take place on August 16 in the Members’ Marquee in the Quarry, by kind permission of the Shropshire Horticultural Society and Attwoolls.
Guests are requested to arrive at 12.30 for 1pm sit-down.
Tickets are priced at £22.50 with proceeds to the Mayor’s Charity in aid of the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund and The Shrewsbury Ark.
Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Miles Kenny said: “This is one of the ‘not to be missed’ social occasions of the year in a wonderful relaxing environment in aid of two excellent local causes – Lingen Davies’ current appeal for £750,000 towards a new Linac and The Shrewsbury Ark, to improve on services for those finding themselves on the streets over the weekend.
“I am grateful to the Shropshire Horticultural Society and Attwools for the use of the marquee for the lunch and I am so pleased that we have Eleri Lloyd on the harp to entertain us. It promises to be an excellent event”
