Tickets on Sale for Mayor’s Charity Christmas Lunch

The Mayor of Shrewsbury is hosting a charity Christmas Lunch in Frankwell and would like members of the public to join him for the event.

The festive event will take place on December 2 at the Darwin Community Centre in Frankwell.

The event begins at 12.30pm for a 1pm start and guests can enjoy a three-course traditional Christmas lunch and coffee, with Oakapple Catering providing the food for the event.

Tickets are priced at £20.00 with proceeds going to the Mayor’s Charity Fund.

During his Mayoral year, Councillor Peter Nutting is supporting Little Rascals Foundation based in Monkmoor, a local charity helping to make life easier for children with disabilities.  The Foundation also supports children and their families to ensure they get the help they need to enhance their lives and increase their independence.

Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Nutting said: “We are looking forward to hosting our Christmas Lunch at the Darwin Community Centre in Frankwell at the beginning of December.

“The event promises to be an enjoyable afternoon and we’re encouraging people to wear their Christmas jumpers for an added bit of festive fun.  It would be great to have as many people as possible coming along to help us support a very worthwhile local charity.”

Guests attending the event will be able to use the car park at Hatcher’s Solicitors, who are generously providing the parking on the day.

For more information, or to reserve tickets, please contact Carol Pullen, the Mayor’s Secretary, on 01743 257655 or email: carol.pullen@shrewsburytowncouncil.gov.uk
