The Circus comes to Town!

The circus comes to town next month and stops off at Shrewsbury’s main recreational park, the Quarry.

Zippos Circus Phoenix, featuring world class performers from around the world, will be entertaining the crowds from May 5 to 10.

Audiences can expect a mix of colour, fun and fantasy on a magical adventure which will see them journey to lands afar.

First stop is Kenya for the awe inspiring acrobatics of the Zulu Warriors and their non-stop limbo and hoop diving spectacle.

Next is a breathtaking ride on the thrilling Wheel of Death, before flying to the land of Mexico for the sensational juggling skills of the award winning Gordon Howes and comedy capers of Jerry Marinas.

Then audiences will be transported to the depths of Mongolia for Zula and his balancing chairs that ascend to the roof of the Big Top, before shimmying along to Russia for the hip-shaking Hula Hoop of Slavia and the award winning silk sensation, Julie Igavor.

Finally it’s back home to the UK for some slapstick mayhem with Beau and Fips in Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook.

Performances dates and times are: Thursday May 5 – 7.30pm; Friday May 6 – 5pm & 7.30pm; Saturday May 7 – 3pm & 6pm; Sunday May 8 – 11am & 3pm; Monday May 9 – 5pm & 7.30pm; Tuesday May 10 – 6pm.
