A spooktacular market and funfair will take place within the grounds of Shrewsbury Quarry later this month. [OCT]

The event is being held on October 26 and will feature award winning local producers including Castlemoor Hog Roast, the Little Round Cake Company and Mukaase foods.

Halloween themed beverages will also be served all day by Cromwells Wine Bar and Restaurant and fairground attractions for all the family will be provided by Stokes Funfairs.

The Halloween Funfair and Market will run from 11.30am until 9pm and will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm.

Stuart Jones, from Asterley Events said: “This is a new venture which we are really excited about. The Quarry is a fantastic venue and we hope the Halloween Funfair and Market will become a popular annual event. The whole day is designed to be family orientated with something for all ages to enjoy.

“We look forward to working with Shrewsbury Town Council in making sure the event is a huge success.”

Mike Cox, Outdoor Recreation & Asset Manager for Shrewsbury Town Council added: “We’ve had some fantastic events taking place in the Quarry this year with the marathon and Shrewsbury Food Festival and we wanted to keep up that momentum. I’m sure the Halloween event will be frightfully spooktacular!”

There are still limited stall spaces available for the Halloween event. For more information, or to secure a pitch, call 07789 114253.
