Skirt Shack launches at Shrewsbury Market Hall

Forget the love shack – The Skirt Shack has arrived at Shrewsbury Market Hall.

Stallholder, Tania Reynolds, set up business at the indoor market in January selling a range of handmade skirts that are both ethical and fashionable.

The skirts are Fairtrade and each one is unique, with most styles being reversible for versatile wear.

The 43-year-old, from Church Stretton, first bought one of the skirts for herself while living in Canada. She then went on to hold ‘skirt parties’ before finally setting up shop at Shrewsbury Market Hall where The Skirt Shack is already going from strength to strength.

“The response so far has been great,” said Tania.

“I have already had several repeat customers who, once they have purchased their first skirt, have come back telling me how great and versatile they are and wanting more. The skirts look great over leggings, tights, jeans, or with bare legs and a pair of SwitchFlops and they are perfect for expectant mothers due to being adjustable. They are just so flexible and each one is unique so you know you will never be seen wearing the same outfit as someone else!”

Skirts are available in two adult size ranges, One Size for 6-16 and XL for 16-22, and are fully adjustable. A children’s range is also available. Prices start from £30.

The Skirt Shack also stocks the innovative SwitchFlops range by Lindsay Phillips which feature colourful, interchangeable, Velcro straps, each adorned by a unique button – giving unlimited choices with minimal effort. Prices start from £15.

The Skirt Shack is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9.30am until 4pm.
