Shrewsbury in Bloom Welcomes New Business Sponsor

A new sponsor has been unveiled for a busy traffic island as part of Shrewsbury in Bloom’s scheme to maintain its reputation as the “Town of Flowers”.

Granite Transformations is the new sponsor of the roundabout at the junction of Knights Way, Hussey Road and Stafford Drive on the Battlefield Industrial Estate to the north of Shrewsbury.

It is the latest business to join the sponsorship scheme, which sees businesses benefitting from increased advertising whilst also providing Shrewsbury Town Council with additional income to help finance the floral features and bedding displays around the town each year.

Richard Williams of Granite Transformations said: “With the opening of our new concession at Percy Throwers Garden Centre, we have a lot more people travelling over to our main Battlefield showroom to view our full range of products. With the new signage on this roundabout at Battlefield, it is an ideal way to provide customers with directions to our showroom and increase our visibility in the area.  It is so close to where we are sited on Hussey Road that it made sense to sponsor this location.

“We are proud to be associated with Shrewsbury in Bloom and look forward to a long and productive relationship with them.”

Keith Roberts, chairman of Shrewsbury in Bloom, added: “I am delighted to welcome Granite Transformations to our Shrewsbury in Bloom sponsorship scheme.  It is with the help of our sponsors that we are able to maintain our wonderful floral displays each year which helps to provide that “feel good” factor for residents and visitors alike and also provides these companies with an ideal way of promoting their businesses.”
