Popular Exhibition to be Extended

A display of artwork at Shrewsbury Market Hall, which features pieces from five Shropshire artists, will be available to view for an extra weekend.

The exhibition, from ‘A Bunch of Five Artists,’ was due to end on May 21.

However, due to its popularity, it has now been extended and the collection will remain on display this Friday and Saturday [27th & 28th May] at the Visual Art Network Market Hall Art Gallery.

The artists behind the event are Heather Prescott, Ian Collet, Judi Willerton, Susanne Polden and Bev Horsley.

The group have exhibited together for more than five years after meeting at art classes.

Bev Horsley, one of the artists said: “This is a great opportunity for our group to show and sell our work in Shrewsbury at this wonderful gallery. There is a wide range of work from oil paintings, to artists’ books, prints to pastels as well as a range of artists’ cards.”

Kate Gittins, site facilities manager at the market added: “The exhibition has gone down really well so it is great to see it extended by a few days. It will now coincide with our vintage flea market on May 26 – 28 so there will be plenty to see and do here at the Market Hall.”

The collection will be available to view is from 10am – 4pm on Friday and Saturday.
