More Bands Announced for Quarry Bandstand

More bands have been announced for Shrewsbury bandstand’s summer season.

The series of free music events in the Quarry kicked off at the beginning of May and is now getting into full swing.

On June 4 Sabrina Brass take to the stage from 1pm until 3pm, followed by Cleobury Mortimer Concert Brass Band on June 5 who will perform from 2.30pm until 3.15pm and 3.45pm until 4.40pm.

Salopian Brass play on June 12 from 1pm until 3pm, with Wem Jubilee Band lined up for July 10 and Percussion Unlimited on July 17. Times to be confirmed.

On July 24, from 12pm until 3pm, Telford’s Dixieland Jazz Band will be entertaining audiences with their sounds inspired by 1920s New Orleans.

Mike Cox, Outdoor Recreation and Asset Manager for Shrewsbury Town Council said: “We are pleased our series of summer music events for the Quarry’s bandstand continues to grow and encourage people to come along and enjoy these free concerts. People are welcome to bring along their own chairs and picnics to make the most of these live music shows.”
