    To receive an update from the Outdoor Recreation & Assets Manager on the following matters involving the Quarry:
    (i)    Update of events in the Quarry for 2016;
    (ii)   Update on Western Power network upgrades through the Quarry
    (iii)  Update on request from the Shropshire Horticultural Society to relocate drainage pipes to facilitate toilet facilities improvements for the Flower Show
    (iv)  To consider a requests to support various recreational activities in the Quarry including:
    mini steamboat trips from the Quarry
    creation of a Junior Parkrun Route every Sunday morning
    canoe hire

    (ii)  To receive an update on the working of the all-party Working Group in redeveloping the Quarry Play Area and Paddling Pool

  • 8RECREATION GROUND & OPEN SPACE MATTERS

    (i)    Monkmoor Recreation Ground – to receive an update on recent repairs undertaken
    (ii)   Springfield Recreation Ground – to consider a request from the Disc Golf Club to expand the Disc Golf facility on site
    (iii)  Kynaston Road Recreation Ground – to consider a request from the local member for improvements to fencing around the curtilage
    (iv)  St Mary’s Church – to receive an update on repairs to the pedestrian area and approve restrictions on carparking within the closed church yard

  • 9CHRISTMAS

    To receive an update on Christmas activities and the Town Councils involvement in those activities

  • 10TEAM SHREWSBURY

    (i)   To receive an update on the expansion of the Team Shrewsbury Operational Meetings and how members can feed into the process
    (ii)   To receive an update from the Operations Manager on collaborative work around Nuisance Week and Bonfire Night
    (iii)  To receive feedback from the Town Clerk regarding the recent Purple Flag Accreditation Visit
