Jazz fans in Shrewsbury are invited to enjoy an evening of musical entertainment in aid of two local charities.
Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Miles Kenny, will be hosting a Jazz Evening on March 5, from 6.30pm, at the Lord Hill Hotel in aid of Lingen Davies Cancer Fund and The Shrewsbury Ark.
Music will be provided by the Pete Allen Jazz Band and will include tributes to Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Sidney Bechet and many more.

Councillor Kenny said: “I’m really looking forward to this event as it’s going to be a cracker of an evening of Hot Jazz courtesy of Pete Allen’s Jazz Band. Tickets are going amazingly well and proceeds are for my charities; The Lingen Davies Cancer Fund and The Shrewsbury Ark, both of which are local and both important to Shrewsbury.”
