Invitation to Dine with the Mayor
Members of the public are invited to dine in the company of the Mayor of Shrewsbury at an annual charity luncheon next month.
The event is being held on weekend of the 124th annual Shrewsbury Flower Show, in the Members’ Marquee, at the Quarry on August 14.
Attendees should arrive at 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
Anyone can book for the luncheon, which is being held by kind permission of the Shropshire Horticultural Society.
Tickets are priced at £20 each to include a two-course lunch.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Mayoral Charity Fund. At the end of the Mayor’s year in office, local charities and organisations will be able to bid for small grants from the fund to support their needs.
Carol Pullen, Mayor’s Secretary said: “This is an opportunity for members of the public to dine with the Mayor and Mayoress of Shrewsbury while raising money for the Mayor’s Charity Fund. This is always a popular event and I’m sure this year will be no exception.”
