Have a Ball to Raise Funds for Charity

Members of the public are invited to attend the Mayor and Mayoress of Shrewsbury’s Charity Spring Ball.

The black tie event takes place at the Albright Hussey Manor Hotel, in Shrewsbury, on March 24 at 7.30pm for 8pm start. Carriages at 1am.

Tickets are priced at £37.50 each which includes an arrival drink, three-course meal and dancing.

Chains of Office may be worn.

All proceeds will go towards the Mayor’s charity fund, Small Grants for Small Groups.

Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Tony Durnell said: “This year I will be offering local groups and organisations that often miss out on available grants the opportunity to apply for money from the charity fund. My intention is to support as many groups as possible.”

Interested groups and organisations will be invited to bid for small grants from the fund to support their needs.

Details of how to apply will be available on Shrewsbury Town Council’s website shortly.
