A Shrewsbury jewellery maker who trades at the town’s indoor Market Hall has expanded her business to include hair accessories.
The expansion follows hot-on-the-heels of a new name and website for Charlotte Anne Designs, which is rapidly becoming one of Shewsbury’s most popular names in jewellery design.
In addition to handmade, bespoke jewellery the business, which is owned and run by Charlotte Jones, from Ford, now stocks a range of fashion hair accessories at bargain prices – but shoppers need to be quick as this is only a temporary offer.
Charlotte Anne Designs will be trialling the hair accessories on a short-term basis before deciding whether to expand stock on a more permanent basis.
As well as escalating her market stall business, a new website also saw Charlotte Anne Designs go global just before Christmas. Jewellery fans can now get their hands on bespoke designs in all corners of the globe through the site’s online ordering system at http://www.charlotteannedesigns.com
Miss Jones, who is 30 and also studying for a Forensic Science degree, started out creating jewellery for family and friends as a hobby last year.
She is now a regular feature at the Market Hall where she has been trading for almost six months in the Town Council’s canopied section of the market selling a range of handmade jewellery, including the popular Pandora style charm bracelets. Pieces can also be made to order and a repair service is available.
“Everything is going really well with the website and now the hair accessories,” said Miss Jones.
“I have already sold some pieces to people as far away as Australia, and the hair accessories seem really popular. Hopefully things will continue the way they have been and I can look at expanding the business even further.”
