Chance to Display Artwork at Shrewsbury Quarry

Shrewsbury artists are invited to exhibit their work within the picturesque surroundings of the town’s Quarry.

Shrewsbury Town Council will launch its annual Quarry art exhibition next month, from June 1.

The event runs each Sunday, from 2.30pm until 5.30pm, until September 7 – subject to weather conditions. Excludes event days on June 29 and August 10.

Demonstrations and paintings can be displayed around the perimeter of the Dingle, which is a popular tourist attraction during the summer and is an ideal backdrop for displays.

No charge is made by the Town Council for local artists to participate in the exhibition.

Cars are not permitted to enter the Quarry, for special circumstances a permit may be granted for drop-off/pick-up only.

For further information, or for a permit, contact Mike Cox at Shrewsbury Town Council on 01743 257659 or email mike.cox-stc@shropshire.gov.uk
