Chance for Residents to Air Views

Shrewsbury residents are being encouraged to attend the town’s annual public meeting next week.

The Annual Town Meeting takes place on April 26, from 6pm, at the Guildhall.

The meeting is open to any elector from the 17 wards that make up the Shrewsbury Town Council area to raise any matter of interest or concern to the town.

During the meeting, members of the Town Council will also outline the organisation’s work over the past 12 months as well as providing an update on issues raised at the 2011 Annual Town Meeting.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Peter Nutting said: “The Annual Town Meeting is a great opportunity for local people to get involved with shaping their community. It is a chance to meet with councillors and raise any issues, no matter how big or small, by working together we can hopefully resolve them and make Shrewsbury an even better place to live, work and visit.”

A copy of the agenda will be available to download from the Town Council’s website in advance of the meeting at www.shrewsburytowncouncil.co.uk
