Artist Hopes to Paint Bright Future at Market Hall

An artist who has created an unusual method of painting is now showcasing his collection of works at Shrewsbury Market Hall.

Anthony Butterfield, 45, from Powys, launched his art stall, Butterfields, in February and the business is already going from strength to strength.

The stall features a range of Anthony’s artwork including original, and prints of, paintings created with oils on reverse glass – his own self-taught medium – as well as a selection of hand-painted glasses, wood turned bowls and platters, woollen hats, bags, postcards, greeting cards, jewellery, rugs.

Butterfields also supplies worms for angling and will be selling compost shortly.

Anthony said: “We opened the stall at the Market Hall after a few months of research. After moving to mid-Wales four years ago, and having not painted for a number of years, the arrival of my son last summer inspired me to begin creating again. “The business is going well so far and we’ve had lots of positive feedback.”

Butterfields is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am until 4pm and on Thursdays from 9am until 1pm.

For further information find Butterfields on Facebook or call 07961 027970.
