Monkmoor River Ground

Shrewsbury Town Council’s Countryside and Greenspace Team have planted 2,780 trees on the Monkmoor River Ground this winter.

Staff and volunteers from Shrewsbury Town Council, together with volunteers from Shropshire Wildlife Trust, sixty pupils from Crowmoor Primary School and students from Severndale School have re-planted a damaged hedgerow at Monkmoor River Ground.

Following the deliberate destruction of a newly planted hedgerow at Monkmoor River Ground last year, Shrewsbury Town Council will be re-planting the hedgerow next week.
