The Town Council objects to the planning application for this prominent site at one of the major gateways to the town centre and adjacent to the Grade II Listed train station and Grade I Listed Shrewsbury Castle in the Town Centre Conservation Area. Members feel there is a lack of detail in the planning application and would like clarification on a number of points, including the hours of operation for these premises. Members also expressed concern for the impact on the street scene of the bright colours in use in this highly visible area of the town and would like to see the comments from Shropshire Council’s Conservation Officer before making any further observations.
