The Town Council does not object to the principle of building on this plot of land but members feel these proposals could be improved particularly in its context of one of the main streets into the town. These plans show an uninspiring property design which is out of keeping with neighbouring properties and does nothing to enhance the area. Members also feel that an attempt to erect 8 dwellings in what is in effect a back garden provides inadequate amenity space and is in effect an overdevelopment of the site.
