The Town Council raises concerns over this application and the impact it will have on the area. Of particular concern is the cumulative impact that this proposal will have in relation to those applications already in the planning system which will have the detrimental effect of reducing the availability of green space in this part of the town. The Town Council has already identified concerns for road safety in this area and feel that the proposed access to the site would exacerbate the issues already raised in relation to one of the main highways into the town from the north. Members are also disappointed with the loss of employment land from this brownfield site.
