Column Cricket Club is located in Shrewsbury just behind the Shirehall. On Sunday 21st July we are playing against an All Star Team made up for former Premier League footballers and professional cricketers and rugby players. We are doing this to raise money for our club and also 2 amazing local charities. The first charity is The Little Rascals Foundation which aims to support and empower children with special needs and their families, they provide SEND specific play sessions, holiday clubs and one-to-one support in the local community. The second charity we are supporting is The Whistle Foundation and their aim is to provide education and training around the issues of equality, diversity & inclusion within sport, aiming to make sport accessible for everyone, regardless of their age, race or gender.
We have lots of exciting things happening on this day such as the cricket match, live music, live podcast recordings, educational visit from Shrewsbury Fire Department, food, a range of stalls, bouncy castle and more. We are really pushing for this to be a great family day out where people can bring their children, enjoy some cricket, meet some sporting stars and enjoy the activities. The event will start at 12pm and run all afternoon.
