Shrewsbury Town Council invites residents to share their views on local services and priorities for the years ahead.
Shrewsbury residents are being encouraged to have their say on the future of local services, with more than 500 people already taking part in Shrewsbury Town Council’s 2026 Residents’ Survey.
The survey explores a range of issues affecting life in Shrewsbury, including street cleaning and litter collection, community safety, support for young people and the services residents would most like the Town Council to focus on over the next five years.
It also gives residents an opportunity to share their views on how important community facilities, including Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery and Shrewsbury Library, can be supported in the future. The Town Council allocated £250,000 last year to help address financial pressures affecting these facilities and is seeking feedback as part of its wider work to understand local priorities.
The survey follows the Town Council’s recent newsletter to households across Shrewsbury, inviting people from all parts of the community to share their views on future service provision and help shape the Council’s priorities.
Councillor Rob Wilson, Leader of Shrewsbury Town Council, said:
We want to hear from people across Shrewsbury about the services and issues that matter most to them. Whether that is keeping our streets clean, improving community safety, creating opportunities for young people or supporting the facilities that contribute to our town’s character, residents’ views are an important part of understanding what people want for the future.
“Our recent newsletter was an invitation for everyone to get involved, and the survey provides a straightforward way to share your thoughts. I would encourage residents who have not yet taken part to make their voices heard and help inform our discussions about the town’s future.”
Residents can complete the survey online at www.shrewsburytowncouncil.gov.uk/have-your-say until Friday 20 November 2026.
For anyone who has not received a copy of the recent newsletter, copies are available from Shrewsbury Town Council’s offices at:
Livesey House, 7 St John’s Hill, Shrewsbury, SY1 1JD
Paper copies of the survey are also available from the office for residents who would prefer to complete it by hand.
The feedback will help Shrewsbury Town Council build a clearer picture of residents’ priorities and inform its future planning and decisions about local services.
