Join local artist Harvey Taylor for a free creative gel painting session taking place from 11am on the ground floor of the Darwin Shopping Centre near the entrance to The Collective.

Gel painting is a fun and relaxed opportunity for young people to express themselves creatively — no artistic experience or skill is needed. The process involves applying paint onto gel plates and using different objects, including items such as biscuits, to create patterns and impressions within the paint. Once dried, backgrounds and additional colours can then be added to build up a unique design.

Young people are also encouraged to bring along printed A4 photographs if they would like to incorporate personal images into their artwork, with Harvey on hand to help include them within the final design.
