Biography
Originally from Liverpool, Bernie Bentick has been a resident of Shrewsbury for 34 years and a Consultant in Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals for most of that time. He is married with grown children and lives in his constituency of Meole. Bernie was re-elected as a Shrewsbury Town Councillor in May 2025 and has a great passion for assisting communities, preserving heritage, and promoting the prosperity of Meole and Shrewsbury. He is keen to support the development of community groups and activities, champion biodiversity and action to help reverse the climate change crisis, encourage wellbeing and healthy lives including active travel, and take action to reduce deprivation. In his spare time, Bernie enjoys spending time with his family, gardening (including tending an allotment), reading, cycling, walking, and playing golf and chess.
