The winner of a colouring competition, held at last month’s Shropshire County Show, has been announced.
First prize, a Waterstones book token, went to seven-year-old Charlotte Powell, from Shrewsbury, for her intricate use of colour and design.
The competition, organised by the Shrewsbury in Bloom committee, was judged by the town’s Mayor, Councillor Tony Durnell.
“I was most impressed with the standard of entries,” said Councillor Durnell.
“It was extremely difficult to pick a winner from the many entries received but Charlotte’s design displayed an excellent use of colour. Congratulations to everyone who took part for their fantastic efforts.”
