    To receive a presentation from Bob Morgan (Gild of Freemen of Shrewsbury) regarding their wish to make improvements to the Shoemakers Arbour in the Dingle to be funded through the Burgess Turns Fund administered by the Town Council.

    To receive an update from the Outdoor Recreation & Assets Manager on the following matters involving the Quarry:
     
    (i)    Update of events in the Quarry for 2017
    (ii)   Update of events in the Quarry for 2018
    (iii)  Update on review and Use of the Quarry Events Premises Licence and the selection process for use given the number of event organisers wishing to make use of the licence.
    (iv)  Update on the Recovery Walk 2018

    (i)    To receive an update by the Outdoor Recreations & Assets Manager on the work of the general market including general arrangements, uptake and waiting lists;
    (ii)   To receive an update on Broadband improvements at the Market (Cllr Laurens);
    (iii)  To receive an update regarding joint discussions with the Town Council, Markets Facility Manager and Shropshire Council’s Sustainability Team regarding improvements to lighting in the Market and consider to what extent does the Town Council wish to be part of any future project;
    (iv)  To receive an update on works being undertaken by Western Power Distribution to replace the Substation below the Market Hall.

  • 9RECREATION GROUND & OPEN SPACE MATTERS

    To receive the Outdoor Recreation & Asset Managers Update Report on the following:
     
    (i)    Radbrook Recreation Ground – Relocation of container for the Football use;
    (ii)   Upton Lane Recreation Ground – Update following meeting with the complainant regarding perceived inappropriate use of the BMX Track;
    (iii)  County Ground – Update on redevelopment of the Pavilion;
    (iv)  Greenfields Recreation Ground – Update on discussions with the Environment Agency regarding proposed Flood Alleviation Works to Bagley Brook;
    (v)   Monkmoor Recreation Ground – Update on discussions with Tennis Shropshire about developing tennis provision in the area;
    (vi)  Silks Meadow – Feedback from Bowling Club regarding the new floodlighting

    To update on the Big Town Plan work, the recent consultation exercise and consider to what extent the Town Council (and this Committee) wish to be involved.
