  • 7BMX FACILITIES

    To receive a report into the condition of all BMX facilities in the Town Ownership and consider the recommendations for prioritisation.

    To receive an update from the Outdoor Recreation & Assets Manager on the following matters involving the Quarry:
     
    (i)    Update of events in the Quarry for 2019;
     
    (ii)   Process for dealing with large events in accordance with the Premises Licence;
     
    (iii)  Update on footfall activity in the Quarry;
     
    (iv)  Update on drainage issues.

  • 9MARKETS

    (i)         To receive an update by the Outdoor Recreations & Assets Manager on the work of the general market including general arrangements, uptake and waiting lists;
     
    (ii)        To receive an update on recent awards;
     
    (iii)       To update the committee with regards to ongoing complaints from traders about smells emanating from other traders in the Market Hall.

  • 10RECREATION GROUND & OPEN SPACE MATTERS

    To receive the Outdoor Recreation & Asset Managers Update Report on the following:
     
    (i)   Monkmoor Recreation Ground – Update on improvements to the site;
     
    (ii)  Greenfield Recreation Ground – Agreement on Licence to use land adjacent to the Bowling Green.

  • 11FISHERIES

    To receive an update on work in relation to the management of the Shrewsbury Fisheries including:
     
    (i)         General Update;
     

    (ii)        Works to Fisheries;
     

    (iii)       Shropshire Council tender for the Oxon & Emstrey Fisheries.

  • 12TEAM SHREWSBURY

    To receive an update on the work of Team Shrewsbury and in particular:
     
    (i)   Anti-social behaviour in public conveniences;
     
    (ii)  Youth & County Lines Resilience Workshop;
     
    (iii)  PCC Funding availability.

  • 13SHREWSBURY IN BLOOM

    (i)         To receive an update from the Shrewsbury In Bloom Committee (including the minutes of the 28 February & 28 March 2019;
     
    (ii)        To receive details of the Bloom Judging – 23 July 2019;
     
    (ii)        To receive details of the Weeping Cross Open Day – 22 May 2019.

  • 14GRASS CUTTING

    To receive an update on the grass cutting season.

  • 15COMMUTED SUMS

    (i)  To receive an update on developer discussions/negotiations:
     
    (a)  Radbrook College Site – Upgrades to play areas in the vicinity of the development site – tenders awarded for the upgrades to Grangefields and Bank Farm Road Play Areas;
     
    (b)  Copthorne Barracks Play and Open Space – offsite contributions to play and open space – awaiting progress with Pavilion Extension;
     
    (c)  Shelton Hospital Land Transfer – Adoption & Maintenance of open space – awaiting completion of landscaping;
     
    (d)  Barratt Homes/Bovis Homes – Mytton Oak Road – planned adoption for the start of the 2019 grass cutting season;
     
    (e)  Shrewsbury South Sustainable Urban Extension:
    (i)    Sutton Grange site – ongoing – unlikely to transfer in the next financial year;
    (ii)   Bellway Homes site – discussion on land adoption and adoption of acoustic fencing;
    (iii)  Galliers site – early discussions on land adoption;
    (iv)  Community Centre – location on the site.
     
    (f)  Ingleby Way – Adoption & Maintenance of open space – now ready following clarification of hedgerow ownership;
     
    (g)  Holgate Drive – Adoption & Maintenance of open space – awaiting completion of snagging;
     
    (h)  Belvidere Paddocks – Adoption & Maintenance of open space – ready awaiting transfer;
     
    (i)  Arlington Way – Adoption & Maintenance of open space – Contracts Signed;
     
    (j)  Shrewsbury Town Football Club – Offsite contribution to the improvement to football playing surfaces at Radbrook Recreation Ground – awaiting tender proposals for pitch levelling;
     
    (k)  Weir Hill Development – Adoption request.
