    Twenty is Plenty Campaign
    To consider the following motion proposed by Councillors Mrs Moseley, Green and Dean to support the “20 is Plenty” campaign:
     
    “Shrewsbury Town Council recognises the benefits associated with a 20 miles per hour speed limit in residential areas, rather than a default limit of 30mph, which exists in most parts of the town, and County.
    There are fewer fatalities and injuries, greater survivability in traffic collisions, improved air quality, reduced fuel use, and a greater willingness of the population to walk or cycle – which has associated health benefits.
    The Town Council therefore supports the “20 is Plenty” campaign and asks that Shropshire Council investigates how best the 20 miles per hour limit can be introduced to the streets of Shrewsbury.”

    Carolyn Gavin (Head of Operations) & Alex Critchell (General Manager of the new 0-25 Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service) both of the South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are to attend the meeting to discuss the new approach to Children & Adult Mental Health Service

    Please note at the conclusion of this meeting the Responsible Financial Officer shall give an overview of the Council’s finances and budget preparations in readiness for future discussions on the 2018/19 Budget and Precept at the December meeting of Finance & General Purpose Committee and January meeting of Full Council.
