Easter Activities for Young People in Shrewsbury

Easter Activities for Young People in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Town Council’s Youth Services will be providing organised activities for young people in the town for the first week of the Easter school holidays.

Activities will take place from April 11 to 14 from 11am to 2pm at The Grange Centre in Shrewsbury.

Working with a range of partners, including Shropshire Youth Services, Embrace, Shropshire HAF and Kynaston Road Community Centre, the scheme will ensure that young people from age 11 to 16 will have a range of activities in various locations across the town covering the two weeks of the school holidays.

Food will also be provided for all those attending the sessions during the two weeks.

Andy Hall, youth and community manager for Shrewsbury Town Council, said: “It’s great that we have been able to work with our community partners in the town to ensure that we can provide a range of meaningful activities for our young people which covers the two week school holiday. We will also be providing a free meal for those coming along for the activities, which will be a massive boost to families in the current economic climate.”

“There is no need to book the sessions for Y6+ young people and all we ask is that they turn up on the day at The Grange Centre from April 11 to 16 for the sessions run by the Town Council.”

The second week sees activities being held at various locations around the town, including The Meds at Greenfields Recreation Ground on April 21 from 1.30pm until 4pm.
