Bonfire Weekend

Message from partners:

Shropshire Council & Shrewsbury Town Council

All town residents are encouraged to attend and enjoy organised public events over this period.
“ Shropshire Council & Shrewsbury Town Council do not allow bonfires on any public land, items left there will be treated as fly tipping and removed “

Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service

Please ensure that wheelie bins are stored safely in the rear of your property only putting them out on the day of your collection and then store them safely afterwards. It is extremely dangerous to place the contents of a general rubbish bin onto a fire and this may result in serious injury or harm to persons.
We would encourage everyone to attend an organised event some of them are free or are raising money for charity.
However – If Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service are required to attend an unofficial bonfire on public land this may result in the extinguishing of the said bonfire.

West Mercia Police
