A new business sponsor has been unveiled at a prime site in the town in support of Shrewsbury in Bloom to help maintain its reputation as the “Town of Flowers”.

Decostitch is sponsoring the traffic island at the junction of Belle Vue Road and Longden Coleham.

Leanne Lewis, director of the company, said: “We are excited to be able to support Shrewsbury in Bloom with our sponsorship of this junction in Belle Vue. As a company, we really take pride in giving something back to our local community and after the challenges of the last twelve months, we’re pleased to be able to support this innovative way of providing so much pleasure for both residents and visitors to the town.

“We’re looking forward to a great relationship with Shrewsbury in Bloom as well as helping to maintain the town’s fantastic floral reputation.”

Decostitch, based on Battlefield Enterprise Park, specialises in providing embroidery and digital printing services to a wide range of sectors including work wear, school wear and leisurewear. Decostitch will soon begin its 10th year in business, and, like so many others, the local support has and will continue to be important as the business strives to grow and support the local economy.

The company is the latest business to join the sponsorship scheme, which sees businesses benefitting from increased advertising whilst also providing Shrewsbury Town Council with additional income to help finance the floral features and bedding displays around the town each year.

Chairman of Shrewsbury in Bloom, Keith Roberts, added: “Although there are other matters that are of concern to everyone at the moment, the Town Council will be providing much needed colour from their floral features once again this year. It’s great to be able to welcome DecoStitch as one of our latest sponsors at a prime location in the town.

“The businesses who sponsor the floral features around the town enable us to maintain our wonderful displays each year, helping to provide that “feel good” factor for residents and visitors alike. It is also an ideal way of promoting their businesses at key locations in Shrewsbury.”
