Shrewsbury recently underlined its reputation as a town of flowers with remarkable victories for the UK in two prestigious international floral community competitions.

In 2007 we received the titles of the Gold award in the prestigious Entente Florale Europe Competition and the Winner in the Communities in Bloom International Challenge.

It has been the highlight of our bloom success to date.  We have successfully achieved gold awards in the Heart of England competitions and after winning the Royal Horticultural Society National in Bloom Competition 2006 Shrewsbury carried the responsibility of representing the UK both in Europe and Internationally.

To receive such awards was the highest accolade for our County Town and demonstrates Shrewsbury's commitment to providing a quality environment for our residents, communities and visitors to enjoy throughout the year.
