Key Play Scheme

What is the Key Play Scheme? Tennis

It's simple!  Rent a key to gain access to sports facilities not normally available during the daytime periods.

The Key Play Scheme has been introduced for the benefit of Shrewsbury residents.  The scheme is designed to enable access (via rented gate key) to sporting facilities at locations that are not normally manned or available for public use during all or certain time periods.

The facilities include; All Saints Recreation Ground at Castlefields, which has three lawn tennis courts and two crown bowling greens, Silks Meadow at Frankwell, which has two lawn tennis courts and one crown bowling green, and St. Michael's Street Recreation Ground, which has two lawn tennis courts.

How do I join the Key Play Scheme?

The scheme is administered by Mike Cox, Outdoor Recreation & Asset Manager, Shrewsbury Town Council, Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, SY3 8HR. Telephone: 01743 257659 or email mike.cox-stc@shropshire.gov.uk
